If you’ve got a problem...

Well here we are again. How was that all-to-short weekend? Apart from being all to short obviously. We had plenty of taxi service activity, plenty of reading and plenty of healthy, robust activities for all the family (or those who can be bothered).

Wet Mondays in February! Yay! Fortunately Radio 2 offers some of its finest shows on Mondays-stand by for some more Long Players with Johnnie and David, followed by David Rodigan. Evening sorted.

Earlier we line up with a Book Club choice of The Sealwoman’s Gift by Sally Magnusson. It’s her debut novel and a captivating story from 1627 when Barbary pirates raided the coast of Iceland and carried off 400 men, women and children. Amongst them are the pastor and his wife, Asta who are taken to a slave market in Algiers and sold. Asta survives by being fiercely independently-minded and by the stories she tells, drawn from the Icelandic sagas. There’s a chapter here and you can hear Sally after 6.

And in Student Volunteering Week, lets try some VOLUNTEER tunes please!
