Shaping up for the big time baby

Enjoying all this mildness. Apparently it isn’t going to last but for now, there’s a spring-like spring in my step. The winter wardrobe wont be going away just yet. But you can tell from the 3-worders (lambing starts today, had windows open, ice-cream van today!etc) that we are chomping at the bit for it all to change.

Talking to actor Lennie James today, last seen in my house as Tony Gates in Line of Duty but a regular on all screens with Bladerunner 2049, Snatch and The Walking Dead. He stars now in Save Me, a new 6-part British Thriller (which he also wrote and created)as Nelson Rowe, the life and soul of his local pub, a charmer, chancer and liar. He is arrested right at the start of the first episode for the kidnapping the 13 year old daughter he barely knows. It’s one of those ‘well it’s him. Or maybe its him. Or her’ shows and it’s brilliantly done. Lennie at 6.

And our playlist today should be a DRESSING UP one. Today is the 20th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards so FANCY DRESS oldies please!
