Well hi.
Quiet day yesterday. Not much happening here but as ever, great to get back into the groove. The tunes, confession, homework and rollover all sounded great to me and what a star Angie Thomas is. The book club delivered a star I think. And a star who brought her mother with her too! When we played Respect by Aretha Franklin she was leading the dancing in the control room.
Today we welcome back Mike Rutherford as the new Mike and the Mechanics album Let Me Fly is their latest hit. It's their first album since 2011's The Road and features work with Johnny Hates Jazz singer Clark Datchler. They're off on tour too promising all their hits and some Genesis tunes too.
And today we get a whizz-past from a mile-wide asteroid. This is a rock called 2014 JO25 and even though it's 1.1 million miles away, it may well be visible to stargazers with small telescopes. And so songs for the ASTEROID SET TO BUZZ THE EARTH (in the words of the headline writers).
