And a very happy Tuesday to you too. Still mild here, cold snap on the way but (of course) nothing like what the more ridiculous elements of the press have been suggesting, and certainly nothing like the -20 they had in the Greek Islands at the weekend.
Thats +8 in Shetland, -20 in Greece. Mild and dry is the story so far (in general, obvs).
Rick Wakeman back on the show today, marking the release of his Piano Portraits album. It was a year ago when he came in to mark the passing of David Bowie and played Life on Mars on the Elton John piano.
It was quite a moment and the response was overwhelming. One year on and Rick is releasing a full solo piano album featuring a varied selection of music including classic songs he originally played on.
So we get Help, Amazing Grace, Stairway To Heaven, Eleanor Rigby and some classical pieces like Clair De Lune and I View ToThee My Country. Rick will be back at the piano tonight which is always a good thing.
And to go with Rick's Piano Portraits some PORTRAIT OLDIES please. All welcome.
