There's a noise on the wire

Well hey. January dark mornings with trains and tubes being troublesome for southerners! Back to work for everyone by now! Your host walking to work! What a to do it all is. The truth is I quite enjoy the occasional walk to work, cheerily greeting happy queuers and traffic jammers. The walk home slightly less so but how fit I will feel, how self righteous…
With a healthy glow then we take another book for the Book Club and it’s Pendulum by screenwriter Adam Hamdy, a page-turning thriller about London photographer John Wallace who, on page 1, finds himself being hanged. An accident saves him and he spends the book on the run from a crazed serial killer. You can read a chapter here and hear Adam after 6.
And SMARTPHONE oldies please! 10 years today we were introduced to the first one ever (that iPhone thing you might have noticed). Hard to imagine life without them now, though I will fight the urge to be head down on my long, long walk. Gotta go, Julia Bradbury is calling round….
