Tryin’ to loosen my load

Well hey. Wrapping up warm for the week ahead and maybe all of February. This is, apparently, due to the Madden-Julian Oscillation (which unlucky might have thought was the name of a band playing on the The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1972). The MJO is all about tropical thunderstorms but if you need to sound learned when the weather is discussed, just blame the cold on the Madden-Julian Oscillation and see what happens.

Today’s show stars food writer and baker Ruby Tandoh who was such a fabulous runner-up on series 4 of the Great British Bake Off back in 2013. She was voted Bake Off’s favourite past contestant by the Radio Times and now she’s launching ‘Eat Up’ a new book celebrating the fun and pleasure of food. Her aim, she says, is to help you fall back in love with food

And as Paul Simon and Elton John say they’ll quit touring, its time for a ‘TAKING IT EASY’ playlist! You know you want to.
