And a happy 2Day to you too. In previous years we have been all moved around, turning up in all sorts of unusual time slots. This time it's all about the orchestra and (as you probably know by now) as part of the build up to Friday Night Is Music Night, we are all given one section to play with. I believe I have the noisiest bunch-the percussion section. Hitting things basically. So the ARF is not really with us tonight although callers will be choosing fave songs with top percussiony bits in them (technical term). Roger Taylor will be talking to us and Dame Evelyn Glennie, possibly the worlds greatest percussionist, will be in too. Oh and Tony Blackburn showing off his skills with the BBC Concert Orchestra. The whole point of course is to showcase different and normally hidden gems of music which normally lurk in the background. So today the2Day light will shine on as many of them as we can find!

Do we have any drumming bloggers? And favourite percussion solos we should know about? Do tell all!

First up it is the movie show on 5L and it is Star Trek time. Director of the splendid new film JJ Abrams is our guest and much fun to be had. Then to 2 and 2Day frolics for us all.

And then relax.

Have an inspired and fabulous friday.

See you after 2&5
