Mouldy Old Dough

Well another moving blog, this time en route to a Dame Jaqueline Wilson gig to celebrate her new book, a tribute to E Nesbit. Time was child 2 (like many before her) had everything JW wrote and could always be found head buried in the pages of her latest tale. We are having a picnic I think some have my Radio 2 travel rug ready, just in case.

Now Nigel is doing bread today. I feel bad already as I try to avoid bread if I can but, as I bought some great marmalade yesterday, I've already had a pile of toast. Cut out bread and the weight drops off so dough=guilt now. And since Mr Hollywood came on, sourdough is a number one favourite. As indulgences go, bread isn't too extreme I suppose but frankly Nigel isn't helping. I shall indulge him on your behalf. I'll take the strain for you.

And oldies please for the unavoidable SIR ALEX FERGUSON. The hair dryer, the trophy winner and the watch tapper. Even Sally knows about him! For a football manager, that's. the ultimate. When Alan Johnson was with us yesterday, meeting Sally was almost as much a thrill for him as meeting Mott the Hoople last time he was in the building.
