Well that was a weekend. Hope it was fine for you, hope you didn’t get on the wrong train and end up 100 miles adrift of where you needed to be at midnight. I’m not saying that happened to me but it might have done. Only a special kind of fool would do that, I mean really! Anyway later on…I spent Saturday in the murk and mists of one of the UK’s most fabulous areas of natural beauty, making notes, taking photos and blending in with hill walkers in sensible clothing and footwear. It’s research is what it is. And a train home, checking AT EVERY STOP that it hasn’t morphed into THE WRONG TRAIN.

A top week right here, starting with Graham Norton on the Book Club. I know! Radio types writing novels! Whatever next! Well check out Graham’s opening chapter here. Holding is a warm, funny, melancholic whodunnit set in rural Ireland which you will love. Saying it’s Agatha Christie meets Father Ted is lazy and cheap but gets us to the starting line. Check out Graham tonight from 6.
And oldies has to be ED BALLS please. I am not one of Strictly’s biggest fans but even I have been pulled into its orbit this year. He became the weekly soap story, the nation’s talking point and well done to him. I could never imagine ED BALLS OLDIES was ever going to happen but here it is! Party!
