Well hey. 'Perfectly Normal Friday’ (as it it’s known here) is with us and what a fine pair of shows are lined up for you. Movies with Robert Zemeckis talking Allied starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard. This is the man who did the Back To The Future trilogy, Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cast Away and Romancing The Stone. Not bad huh? It’s probably fair to say that Allied is not up there with his finest but if an old fashioned studio movie is what you fancy, with, say, Dickie Attenborough and Googie Withers in the lead roles, then this could be for you.
Then we ARF with 1983 kicking things off. Hello Compact Discs! The future is with us! They last for ever! TVAM and Breakfast Time were launched, the one pound coin turned up and Terry Pratchett wrote his first Discworld novel The Colour Of Magic. At the movies it was Terms of Endearment, Flashdance and Return of the Jedi and on your radio? What 5pm grooves might you fancy?
