What ho bloggers! A merry Monday to you and yours. The house is filled with tree and candle smells as we had the big 'dress the house' day. Most of the decorations survived their year in the loft and are back where they belong on the 8 foot non-drop, trunk-in-water Nordmann tree. And the Christmas music came out and the carol service was terrific and I had my first mince pie. So we are in season everybody. Even though your Drivetime show takes you all the way through to Christmas Eve, these feel like the final days to Christmas. Schools breaking up, students returning, work parties, packed out bars and restaurants. Time for some CHRISTMAS TREE oldies I'm feeling...

Final Radio Book Club choice today is Tom Wood's Better Off Dead. This a stylish thriller about an assassin called Victor being hunted through London as he tries to protect an old friend's daughter. You can read a chapter here (high death count). How can you be on the side of a cold-hearted, amoral killer? Find out after 6.

Also today Paolo Nutini talks to us ahead of his big concert tonight and another prize winning Christmas confession on the way.

From 5pm then?

Blog comments will be available here in future. Find out more.
