Don't Watch That...

Well I enjoyed the ARBHMT. Totally different feel to a Friday but good calls (hello Gretel, Green and Gravy!) and top tunes. Quite tempted to try an all request Tuesday. And Wednesday. And Thursday, just to see what happens. I trust a good time was had by all. It's a good job we don't have too many Bank Holidays-food and drink consumed in the last 3 days seems slightly out of kilter with the healthy norm. Bacon rolls, flapjacks, cinnamon buns everywhere. My it was fun while it was lasted...

Back to boring healthy Tuesdays. Suggs is in after 6 which will be a fine pick-me-up. Madness are off around the country performing at racecourses, cricket grounds, rugby and football stadiums. Our affection for the Nutty Boys seems undimmed after all these years and Suggs will be a fine guest again. And for the tunes, we look at BBC4 tonight. SLOW TV has been a hit in Scandinavia with long, lingering programmes about log fires, 7 hour train journeys and 134 hour ship voyages. Today BBC4 shows All Aboard! The Canal Trip, a 2 hour trip down the Kennet and Avon Canal. It sounds the perfect antidote to all other media obsessions so we'll do SLOW oldies please. Calm, zen and chill indeed.
