Morning groovers. Wednesday already and that hoolie has been busy rearranging most of the garden. At 5am it sounded as though it might be rearranging the roof tiles as well. We emerge blinking and with tin hats on, just in case.
Suggs seemed to be on top form yesterday and there is no doubting the affection that Madness are still held in. The emails from fans young and old were non-stop and there is something about The Nutty Boys which can be irresistible. I think it is their cartoon antics and singalongasuggs qualities which will fill the venues with happy punters this summer.
Today its Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton lining up to talk about their Inside No 9 series on BBC 2. As you would expect from 2 of the League of Gentleman, it is a dark and funny series, loosely arranged the number 9. It has ‘an anthology format’ like Tales Of The Unexpected many years ago, with 6 unrelated episodes. It has got rave reviews-hear for yourself after 6.
And I think I’m tempted by POPULARITY oldies. Many popularity contests running at the moment, one bigger than the others so BEING POPULAR seems as close as we can get to topicality. Without breaking rules, obvs
