Oooh Tuesdays, don't you love them? Always the most troublesome day of the week, it seems to have very little going for it really. No weekend gossip, an eternity till Friday and too many meetings. So, what better day to institute the TUNESDAY or maybe TOOONSDAY to make it sparkle and shimmer. All songs longer than 5 minutes and each one a monster. That's the plan anyway. There's something about an epic which feels like a treat to hear on air.. The longer songs get missed out in the hurly-burly of the daily show but here is their (occasional) moment.
Wore my birthday shirt yesterday. One week after I got rid of a bunch of old plaid shirts, child 2 says they're back in! And here's a new one! Only watching Speed last week and Keanu Reeves looked a treat in a flapping lumberjack shirt and white t-shirt. How very 1993 I declared! No old timer, how very 2014! Lesson learnt, keep everything.
Big stressy show yesterday as we begin the process of what is called self-op, which basically means I become the sound engineer as well as your host. A little rough around the edges but we'll get there.
And songs for ACCOUNTANTS everywhere. We need them to get it right. When it goes wrong, when there's a rogue zero somewhere, if there's a one in the wrong column, there's hell to pay. What would you fancy then?
