Only Monday! Feels like Thursday I'm sure but that's what you get if you spend the weekend 'up to things'. And things are exactly what I have been up to. If you have been reading the posts here you will know about these things. Thank you for turning up. And thanks the the birthday wishes too. The manager of our brunch venue of choice guessed I was 35 and I promised her we'd be back (that's how shallow and easily pleased I am). Then it was down the M4 for some 'dropping-off' duties. ARF was full of parents and new students in cars packed to the rafters with the essentials of student living. And so it was on the motorways yesterday, with the service stations doing a roaring trade in parents buying anything their soon-to-be-departed kids want. A birthday pasty was not my favourite treat...
Bright and lovely today with the Book Club offering A History Of Loneliness By John Boyne. It's a brilliant book about a priest called Odran Yates who has always thought himself blameless in the swirl of chaos and controversy that engulfs the Catholic church in Ireland. Try a chapter here then hear John after 6.
And songs for STUDENTS new or old please, whatever takes your fancy for the hardworking abstemious new academics of the UK.
Rightiho then lets get this week sorted.
