Books, Pipes, Sunshine

Hey - well it's sunny on the Edinburgh cobbles this morning, still a little heat to be had if you're standing on the right show flyer at the right time. I write to the background sound of tourist bus live commentary, bottle clear-up and seagulls (and Ken obvs). Last Edinburgh show has come round so quickly! But 2 shows today...

There's this thing called BBC Arts Online Presents The Radio 2 Book Club. It's a thing that has only existed once before and that was a year ago. Anyway, it was all rather fun and we are doing it all again. You can watch online at BBC Arts at 1pm. It'll just be me and Ian Rankin, Kirsty Logan and Alexander McCall Smith talking books, writing and whatever else we fancy.

Then some food will be taken and show 2 will be on the way. The Proclaimers and band on stage, Ed Byrne, David O'Doherty, Henry Blofeld doing his confession and a foody Thursday with top local chef Tom Kitchen and his Michelin Star.
