Hey you. Sunny and looking promising here. Really enjoy late August warmth. Last night there was an impromptu bbq called to mark an important birthday and how luxurious to sit in the garden with heat in the air after dark. It’s like still being on holiday (unless your holiday was Iceland, in which case the only thing missing were thick, thick jumpers and hot tubs). And our Harvest chat with Farmer Jake was enlightening as ever; I think it was clear from that chat that it has been a while since I have been on a farm. However the allure and pull of HARVEST remains. This may be because of the power of the distant school assembly Harvest Festival, ploughing the fields and scattering etc or maybe the romantic rural nonsense of the townies or maybe just a salute to our hard working farmers. Or, most likely, an excuse for some Neil Young.

So HARVEST oldies it is and make ‘em fabulous.

PLUS the fine actor that is Stephen Tomkinson on the return of DCI Banks. Drop the Dead Donkey! Brassed Off! Ballykissangel! Wild At Heart! That’s Stephen, you know him.
