A week that dawns without any internet. A crisis. I have no idea why this has happened but as every member of the household assumes I am the one to sort it out, the pressure is on. NME, Sounds, Melody Maker and Record Mirror would fight for the attentions of the music fan week by week. The columns were scoured for tour news, interviews with bands and reviews of gigs , singles and albums. Mark wrote for pretty much all of them and has the stories to prove it. His time at Smash Hits in the 80s was very influential: the wit , the in-jokes and the photospreads were essential reading for any aspiring pop fan/star/dj/hairdresser.
