A few weeks ago we had some 3 worders suggesting that listeners were turning off their central heating. The warm spring days were here to stay, throw open the windows and don the cheesecloth. My guess is that heating has been quietly and unobtrusively switched back on again-next week looks a decidedly chilly. A classic April shock. The cruellest month indeed.
Just the one Friday show for me today and your ARF kick off year is 1981. It's big hair and big shoulder pads time! The cool computer folk were lining up their ZX81 Sinclair computers, the cool runners were lining up for the first London Marathon and the cool TV viewers watched the first episode of Only Fools and Horses. At the movies it's On Golden Pond, Chariots of Fire and Raiders of the Lost Ark. And there are some mighty big tunes too-what do you fancy?
