Top show with chips, gravy and Dave Morrissey yesterday (I thought, humbly). You’re never quite sure what Dave is going to be turning up in next-and yesterday he turned up with flu. But of course the show must go on (fortunately for us). As for the Poutine-well Matt ate pretty much all of it.
Right then. A busy Wednesday kicking off with a screening of the new Spielberg/Streep/Hanks movie The Post which I am looking forward too very much. Each one of the trio is 1) amazingly talented with an extraordinary back catalogue and 2) a very entertaining guest who knows how you promote a film (this is a surprisingly rare talent). Then to a swirling Radio 2 where we have a little show to prepare. Internationally acclaimed concert pianist James Rhodes after 6 with Fire On All Sides, which is the name of both an album and his new book. He describes it as an anti self help book and explains how for him, music, specifically Bach Chopin and Rachmaninov has been so much more helpful than a million alternatives.
And elsewhere it is the 42nd International Mime Festival today so what could be more appropriate than a MIME playlist? Got any mime oldies for us?
