Tiptoe through the sprinklers
Another post from the garden. I was tempted to come out here at 2.45am as, I can report, I was hunting our rat. It's a fun way of spending some time. Why sleep if there is work to be done? Ratty stays the winner for now but his days are numbered, you mark my words. However a quick middle-of-the-night lap of the garden seems to be the perfect time; not too hot, not too cold, no one can see you apart from the foxes who are weeing in your flowerbeds and if you are spotted, everyone just thinks you're a mad creative, head full of brilliant ideas. Whereas actually you just have a head full of rosé. Which is almost an AC/DC song...
Onwards for a foody Thursday. Nige is doing something super-sensible for tonight, a beautiful summer risotto with peas and ham and assorted paraphernalia from his herb garden. Time for those AL FRESCO songs you've been preparing, just in case you're outdoors in normal hours.
