In his eyes a flaming glow

Well I managed a walk on the beach, a trip to the pub, a breakfast out, a few hundred miles in the car and three points away to Crystal Palace. Boom! (as Dr Mosh would say). Having breakfast out always seems like the greatest indulgence even if you have something you could have served at home (‘porridge and coffee! Lovely!’). Monday, in contrast, a boring home version of the same but not served on a plank of wood.
So Monday dawns with some loveliness on the way from your Drive Time team. Today we have toppermost historian Simon Sebag Montifiore with his immaculately timed book on Russia, the Czars and their family. 'The Romanovs' has more death, intrigue, excess, indulgence and x-rated poetry than anything you may have read to date. They didn’t do genteel teatime chat those Russians. But you can rely on SSM (as no one calls him) to make your time spent with him to be totally worth your while. And so DYNASTY oldies if you have a moment would be just the ticket...
