Well that’s that and here we go for another kickstart for your weekend. How are your plans looking? Assuming of course you have some. Maybe the best weekend is the empty one that just unfolds in front of you-I’d go for papers, walk, brunch, 3 points for my team, an idea for a new book, grateful children cheerfully tidying their rooms and other jobs, then a curry with friends. An unadventurous list but it’ll do for now...
Films first with guest with top man Toby Jones talking about his Kaleidoscope movie which should not be watched at 3am in the morning on a bad-sleep night. Then it’s the ARF with 1998 unveiled as your opening year. Its the year the DVD arrived all shiny and so much better than your old clunky videos you wondered how you tolerated them for so long. No hiss! No mangled tape! Boy were they great. If it’s the cinema you were after, there was Saving Private Ryan, A Bugs Life and Armageddon. And plenty of fine tunes to pick from... what’s your fancy?
