Throwing out your Frown*

Well here we go with another fabulous Friday offering a drive home/weekend away/teatime cooking with some uplifting tunes chosen by some wonderful, upstanding, fun-loving, lipsmackin' acetastin' motivatin' goodbuzzin' cooltalkin' fastlivin’ listeners with a song on their minds and a phone in their hands…

First up I have the movie show with Cate Blanchet talking Carol which will be right up there with the best of the year. She’s terrific, the film is terrific and always great company. It’s a good week too with Bridge of Spies, Black Mass and the new Pixar movie The Good Dinosaur all released.

Once all that is done we are free to tap that dashboard all the way home. And 1972 is selected by those mystical winds of hymnody. This is the year that the final stretch of the M6 was completed around Spaghetti Junction, Jesus Christ Superstar opens in the West End, no one had heard of Black Friday and Mastermind debuts on BBC1. It’s The Godfather, Deliverance and Cabaret at the movies but what song do you fancy?
