Good morning from the coffee shop. I am, so far, resisting the siren call of the croissant and bacon butty. It is still January after all and efforts are still being made to keep excess under control. And tonight I'm at the Radio Times covers party where doubtless food stuffs are offered which won't be in the 5-a-day category, so I'm trying to start the day properly. The RT do is-clearly-people who've been on the cover so I'm not sure why Mark Kermode and I are invited as our James Bond feature was on the inside pages. Maybe we'll add just a touch of rebellion and glamour. Or maybe Prof Brian Cox can't make it. Either way I've had to cancel the Costa Book Award do (oh my showbiz life) so will not be mixing with the literati this year-I'm sure they'll cope.
