Late Night Diversions

Presenter

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Too many ! already!

Late night shenanigans with those U2 boys again. A trip to the O2 for the first night was only slightly marred by missing the first 25 minutes (tunnel blocked, general chaos). Once frustration had been dealt with, the spectacle was extraordinary. They have reinvented the stadium gig with a walk-through double screen which runs the length of the audience and it was mesmerising. So many bands will see this and wonder what they can do to match it. Talked to Bono afterwards and I'm hoping he'll be on the show tomorrow to explain it all himself. Then he had to go and talk to Matt Damon so I didn't keep him.

(I had various tablet and phone based devices with me which I thought would cause a few problems with the bag check security staff. I did get some hassle but only on account of a small bag of peanuts, which were removed. We were late, I didn't argue. But still mystified).

Today we welcome Springwatch host and wildlife expert Chris Packham to the show to talk about the Wildlife of the World which is one of those lavishly illustrated books to pour over. And WILDLIFE seems a great oldies topic too! Go wild!
