Top work from Chris Packham yesterday. Fascinating, encyclopaedic, inspirational stuff and Autumn Watch starts next week. If I hadn’t been at the Bond premiere (I know), I’d have been rummaging in the undergrowth looking for stag beetles and grubs in general.

'Seated by 7' turned out to be ‘wander in anytime as long as you can be ready for the speeches at 8’. So all was fine and even bought essential sweet and chocolate supplies. The cast of Spectre looked fabulous and sparkly, the crowd dapper and excited and the applause that greeted the titles and each set piece was great fun. It’s not quite up there with Skyfall (and the song certainly isn’t) but still a stylish, confident, exciting blockbuster of a movie.

Hope you liked the sprinkling of ARF into the show! With no Rebecca, it was delightful to pick up on some of Friday’s calls we never got to. More today. Let the rollover er, keep rolling...

Today we bring you (as promised) Bono and Larry from U2! They’re rocking the O2 before heading to Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. It’s huge. Spectacular stuff but very personal too; their Songs of Innocence album being full of ‘growing -up’ songs. So while we are at it, how about INNOCENCE tunes to oil the wheels of our Drivetime machinery?

Thanks y’all.
