Thursday already and it's looking more promising in these parts (more promising = not tipping it down all day with temps like it's November). I've sun, condensation and, particularly, spiders here. They are invading the house looking for mates apparently (we don't encourage that kind of thing) and the large ones are Tegenaria gigantea and can have a leg span of 3.5 inches. A few of those under your sofa and you'll have a memorable evening. According to The Times, the cardinal spider makes it to 4.7 inches and is primarily found in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Even I might baulk at doing the old cup and postcard trick on that. And actually haven't received any postcards this summer anyway.
Nigel is back today with his barbecued rack of beef ribs (we'll do takeaways); and for the oldies how about ON MY OWN/GOING SOLO tunes. Niall from One Direction is set to play his first UK dates. So this can be band members breaking away OR songs about being on your own. Or both. Why not show off if you can?
