Sunny and cool around the estate, though all of it now covered in drying out tents and sleeping bags. All of which are wetter than when they were laid out. Post bank holiday, post holiday, pre-term seems to be its usual non-stop round of cleaning, ironing, hosing and scraping. It’s chaos but a creative chaos that will be missed when it has gone (Sunrise, sunset etc).
Hoping that Jeremy and his team will have removed the shed by todays show. It’s lovely of course but really the whole studio smells of wood, tools and old tins of paint stacked on top of the lawnmower. The Monkees were quite tempted to hide in it/take it with them but enough is enough. Take it down Jezza or I’ll build me an extension.
Enjoyed The Monkees very much and the 9 year old in me was still agog at what what I was doing. Both Peter and Micky looked pretty good me and when we all smiled cheerfully for a photo-it was me who was creaking. Today we have top prof Robert Winstone, one of our leading scientists and science broadcasters. He has a picture book full of pop-ups, flaps and top facts called Utterly Amazing Human Body (though mine slightly less amazing at the moment). Robert is always a great guest so let’s do some HUMAN BODY HITS to set the ball rolling. What have you got then?
