How many books to take on holiday? It's the annual conundrum. E books have their place of course but I like a good paperback tucked in my bag. A few stolen minutes with a coffee by the dunes/beach hut/pool without the family and there's no need for a screen! Hey look at me with my old fashioned technology! A tatty old novel to dive into is such a pleasure. I used to measure the success of a vacation by the number of books completed but having access to the Book Club contenders means it's like a book shop here.
Excess baggage here we come!
So Nige today bringing marinated sirloin steaks with some extras.
'You know what this steak needs?'
'Er, chips?'
'Nope'
'A selection of seasonal vegetables?'
'Nope'
'Surprise me.'
'Nettle fritters'
'Of course, why didn't I think of that.'
So nettle fritters it is.
And as Jonathan Ross's show tonight is from the San Diego Comic-Con International in San Diego, it's time for COMIC oldies! Zap! Pow! Yaroo!
