Well that's what I was told anyway. But producer Claire has been laid low with vile germs and now Gabby Logan, who I sat opposite on the One Show last week, has signed off work with flu. I know that beneath their forgiving exteriors, the finger points at me. I have tried to keep my germs to myself but they seem determined to fight their corner. If you see me walking down the street, cross the road. Please don't sue. Get well soon.
Pancake day today and some live action flipping coming your way. Nigel has the batter, the recipe and wrist action to guide you after 6. It's a once a year feast of lemon and sugar, chocolate and frying and we would like to guide you through it. If you have a frying pan and the will to follow Mr B, do join us. And SHROVE TUESDAY, FAT TUESDAY, MARDIS GRAS, PANCAKE TOSSING themed oldies will be at treat (just like last year). You can mingle in the street and jingle to the beat of jelly roll. Sing merrily.
