Hysteria

A misty moisty morning as Steeleye Span once sang. A brisk walk around the park here in Edinburgh, with the satisfaction of having chosen the correct jumper. Around me, manic cyclists and returning school kids wondered what on earth i was doing. Their glances clearly said 'why are you just ambling and in my way? This is a cycle path for busy people not a media relaxation point'. But maybe it was just me.
Yesterday's show was a hot one. Deacon Blue were terrific, Alexei Sayle fascinating, Sean K enlightening and our authors awesome. We hadn't really done a live audience show before so we were blessed to have a great crowd in yesterday. By the end of the week I might know what I'm doing. Thursday's audience will be a treat. Usually get to hang around afterwards so if any bloggers in attendance do say hello. Or bring sweets.
Today we have KT Tunstall as our house band (with the Wellington Ukelele Orchestra), Al Murray, Jason Manford and a confession from Marcus Brigstocke. We went to see his show last night and he was fantastic fun, with a fantastic section with regional accents. And he relished everyones discomfort as he switched from Somerset to Nigerian to Jamaican to Edinburgh and Cardiff. He's also on crutches. He'll explain more tonight.
And oldies? Well how about HEART THROBS. No, not anyone here (obvs) but the One Direction fans gathering for the 1D film tonight in London. We all like a scream (or did, back in the day. Osmonds/Cassidy/Beatles/TakeThat/BCRollers/ChasnDave etc) so let's have heartthrob hits please.
Have a positive and athletic Tuesday, see you after 5.
