Wetter than you

Edinburgh epistle number 3 (is that right? Losing track...) Supposed to do a bunch of things after the show yesterday-comedians, musicians, media-types, you know how it is-but in the end the appeal of a bath and book won the day. The show was a good one we all thought (though obviously you'll be the judge of that) with a lot of frantic paddling below the calm surface. Justin Manford missed his plane and Beardyman-a very clever performer who's acts relies on his laptop working-found that his laptop wasn't working. At 5pm. So spaces were appearing all over the place but fortunately our guests were fabulous enough that no one noticed! KT was fabulous, Marcus was hilarious and Al Murray a treat (hark at me, all luvvie and Edinburgh).
And today we have a top line up too. Eliza Doolittle is our house band, the confession of Tim Vine (yes it involves his brother), comedian Jason Byrne and QI creator John Lloyd. And the possibility of an acting knight of the realm who might make it, or might not, so don't want to tempt fate by saying anymore. But suffice to say the kids dragged along by parents/aunts/uncles etc will go WOW. So there.
And oldies today please inspired by the story that WE TURN INTO OUR PARENTS AT 32. This is a Mumsnet story and we all know it's true in some measure. Maybe 32 is a bit late? We'll find out what you think and some fine tunes please.
Right off to do battle with the cobblestones. Have a sweet and endearing Wednesday. See you after 5.
