Travolta shades and nine inch heels

Thursday already! The week virtually done and we’ve hardly started really. A fine show being assembled for you of course and a very strong temptation to record the last half hour and sneak off early. This would only be for the best reasons of course-Sting and Paul Simon are at the O2 in London and insist on starting at 7.30! Surely a few minutes that we’d prepared earlier would be fine? Of course the answer is no. No recordings ever, not even for S/PS. There are great reviews for the shows and it is an interesting paring. You might have put Billy Joel and Elton John together but not S and PS. But R2 comes first and I’ll be there all the way to the 7 o’clock news. I’ll catch up with Bob Harris Country later…

Nige today with a red pepper and chorizo pie (to sustain me till the O2 burger takes over) and what news from the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Vienna! We are younger for longer. Yes it is true. Old age doesn’t really begin until you’re 74. Tell everyone! Wake the kids! Wear those hipster clothes for ever! And let us play tunes to celebrate.
