Last weeks episode was brilliant and really well acted.It certainly kept me on the edge of my seat right through.Thank goodness Jimmy got into Scarletts computer to let him see just how much she did love him and that the date her and Jimmy got married was the most memorable date for her.Learmouth was pretty scary when he turned on Scarlet once he realised all that she said was lies.Thank goodness Jimmy, wee Bob, and Deek came in time to stop him strangling poor Scarlet,thankfully hes behind bars now and wont get out for a long time.Tonights episode was very good too although Scarlet tried to make out she was coping when she wasnt,afterall that was a very traumatic time for her and must have upset her very much.She wasnt fooling anyone as they knew she was just trying to ignore what she had gone through but it was difficult for her, she wasnt her usual self at all.Im glad Jimmy and Raymond could see that she wasnt coping and that she broke down and told Jimmy how she really felt.Chuffed that Deek has changed his mind and has asked Bob and Nicky to come back and stay at the flat again.I dont think he realised just how important they both were too him but thankfully they are all back together again as the best of friends.Really glad that Amber has forgiven her mum and has gone away with her to start a new life together without Lenny and Ewan.Lenny was trying to blame Lydia for everything also Stewart being put in prison.All Lydia asked Lenny was to get rid of Stewart but she certainly didnt want for him to be taken for drug taking and put into prison.All she wanted was for him to be paid off or warned to stay away from Amber.But Lenny poisoned her mind against Stewart and he took matters into his own hands.Im really glad that Amber realised that a lot of what happened was not her mums fault and that she really did her best for Amber and loved her very much.As for Lenny well he finally got his comeupance at long last.Good on Lydia selling the land and at least getting something back from the marriage,her life will be a lot happier and better away from Lenny Murdoch.And the moral of the story is what goes around comes around.Brilliant acting very good story lines well done River city thankyou for such a great programme, looking forward to next Tuesdays episode.

Really hope that's not the last we see of Lydia and Amber. I always felt I'd like to find out more of Lydia's past and her relationship with Danny McKee before she met Lenny. Her son , that she had before she met Lenny, had been mentioned on previous occassions and I often wondered if a storyline would ever be made of that. For a wee while ( being of a suspicious nature :-) I wondered if Danny was the father of Lydia's son!



Great episode last night all the same.

Maybe its just me, but Lenny is an obvious nasty piece of work, but so is Lydia. She was happy to live off Lenny's immoral earnings, she just wanted the nice house and lifestyle, no questions asked, so she's just as bad as him. When she asked Lenny to take care of Stuart what did she think he was going to do? Why didn't she do something about it herself? She set the ball rolling, then blames him for doing what she asked him to do. Lydia wants to have her cake and eat it, she can act as nice as she likes, because she never has to get her hands dirty. She is trying to take the moral high ground after the fact, but she can't, she knows what she's done.

Absolutely loving the Fall of the House of Murdoch. What does Lenny do when he's hit rock bottom? I'm sure it will make kidnapping Charlie and murdering a police officer look petty by comparison.



I'm glad Amber realised that if she pushed her mother away, Lenny would have won.

Have missed a few episodes but tuned in last night and felt like tuning right back out again.. too many long, long, faces saying the same moaning things over and over again.. do I want to spend an hour with these miserable people? er..no thanks. Lighten up Sheildinch, get some humour back into it.

totally agree with sassylassieloo, it all gone very bleak and I feel like I've heard these conversations between the Murdochs over and over again. Personally I don't mind if Lydia ships out for a while, I'm sick listening to her whining. Enjoyed last week, great performance from Scarlet, but where's the Glasgow humour gone? You need it to lighten up all the doom and gloom.

In all soaps you get doom and gloom but thank goodness it never lasts long in River City.Totally agree with Molly,Lydia was happy enough with the way Lenny earned his money if she did`nt she would have left him long ago,funny now that he is skint she no longer want`s him,in my book she is just as nasty as he is if not more so after all with him what you see is what you get(a thug)Lydia likes to play the lady but she has a nasty side to her.I feel sorry for Ewan none of them had any time for him all he has ever done is try to get Lenny`s attention,I hope he realises he does not need to have a father like Lenny in his life.

Have to say the oldcyberscottishlass has got more patience than me, every other soap is only half an hour. i'm afraid a double dose of misery is too much for me. thought i'd give this porgramme a go coz the telly is so rubbish just now, but oh dear, can you not do better than this please BBC Scotland?

it is grt to see lenny get what he deserves but what would be even better is if lydia ended up with everything the house and all the family again just without lenny ... hopefully her going out of it with amber on the 22nd sept ther is not going to be for good love both of them and would be a shame to see them go ....
