Thought this programme was excellent and good on Eileen and her daughter for doing this documentary. It certainly gave an insight into what duchens muscular dystrophy is and what happens.Eileens two wee grandsons are lovely lads and their mother is so caring and a lovely kind woman. It was lovely to see Eileen and her daughter and grandsons together at the Dr Who exhibition and having a fun day out.Its also good to know about the place in Newcastle trying out a new drug to hopefully help sufferers of this terrible disease. It gives families and sufferers hope that this drug might help in some way.I was very impressed with the care that Denmark has for people with muscular dystrophy. They really care about people who are in need of care and help, the amenities and the carers were wonderful.Thats what we should have here, but due to all these cutbacks care has been withdrawn in so many areas which is wrong and very cruel.Eileens daughter only got a few hours of care for her sons which was a disgrace. She should be getting far more care and help than what she recieves its so unfair. It was lovely to see the folk from River City helping Eileen to fundraise by taking part in the charity show. Also the thrill on the boys faces when they got to go up in the plane,it was lovely to see them so happy and enjoying themselves. It was really a very moving documentary and i wish the best of luck to Eileen and her daughter in raising money for the Duchen Muscular Dystrophy Organisation.I was surprised that their wasnt a help line or donation line for Duchens Muscular Dystrophy.Im sure as well as myself others would like to contribute to this charity.Well done and every success in raising money for helping people with this terrible disease Eileen.
