This week (Sunday, 17 May 6-8pm) Now Playing celebrates the triumphant return of Ride and hands them control of BBC 6 Music for two hours to play the music they love - with help from you, of course!
Ahead of the band’s session for Steve Lamacq next week, their first live performance on UK radio since their reunion and the first time they’ve played at Maida Vale since 1994, Ride takes over Now Playing on Sunday.
The band’s Andy Bell and Laurence Colbert will be LIVE on Twitter and in the studio with us as our latest tweet-in guests, sifting through your song suggestions sent via the hashtag #Ride6Music.
But they need YOU to suggest songs that you think they should fill their playlist.
You can suggest Ride classics, collaborations, influences, other shoegazing champions such as Lush, Slowdive, Chapterhouse and My Bloody Valentine, rare covers and B-sides, tenuous associations or any other interesting connections you can come up with.
