#Ash6Music – Get involved in Tim Wheeler’s Ash playlist

Dan Cocker

Producer

This week (Sunday, 24 May 6-8pm) BBC 6 Music celebrates the return of Belfast’s eternal teenage wildlifers Ash and hands control of Now Playing to singer Tim Wheeler.

Ahead of the band’s long-awaited return with new album ‘Kablammo!’ – released on Monday 25 May - the impossibly nice Tim takes over Now Playing on Sunday, with two hours of Ash-related tunes selected by you, dear listener.

‘Kablammo!’ is Ash’s first album since 2007’s ‘Twilight of the Innocents’ and marks a triumphant return to form with lashings of distortion, driving drums and Tim’s unmistakable vocal melodies. It is, as the critics are saying, a magnificent return to form.

Tim will be LIVE on Twitter as our latest tweet-in guest with Nemone – sitting in for Tom Robinson - sifting through your song suggestions sent via the hashtag #Ash6Music. But he needs YOU to suggest songs that you think they should fill this special Ash playlist.

You can suggest Ash classics such as ‘Girl From Mars’, ‘Kung Fu’, ‘Numbskull’, ‘Shining Light’ and many more. Cover versions, influences, collaborations, tenuous connections, or you could just choose other bands with awesome logos. Who knows, we might even be tempted to play the hidden track ‘Sick Party’ on ‘1977’…

Get your song suggestions – including the reasons WHY - into us by tweeting #Ash6Music, comment on the Now Playing Facebook page, here on the blog, email [email protected] or drag tracks onto our Spotify and Rdio playlists.
