#Covers6Music - What Should Make Our Ultimate Covers Playlist?

This Sunday (19 October, 6-8pm) we want your help creating an unmissable playlist of the best alternative cover songs.

Everyone loves a good cover version, don't they? Only this week we saw Aretha Franklin's diva covers album streamed online, while Foo Fighters took to performing Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan covers at a low-key gig in New York.

#Covers6Music - What Should Make Our Ultimate Covers Playlist?

And following it's own star-studded cover of The Beach Boys' God Only Knows', featuring Pharrell, Florence and The Machine, Stevie Wonder and more, this week BBC Music launched its vote to decide the nation's favourite cover version of all time.

And we at Now Playing HQ thought we'd have some covers action too. So what do you think deserves a place in our playlist of the best alternative cover songs - and why?

Is it Johnny Cash's version of Nine Inch Nails' 'Hurt'? What about the Manic Street Preachers' cover of Rihanna's 'Umbrella'? Maybe it's Muse's version of the Nina Simone classic 'Feeling Good', Saint Etienne's spin on Neil Young's 'Only Love Will Break Your Heart' or even Sid Vicious' inimitable take on Frank Sinatra's 'My Way'?
