With the legendary Warp Records hosting a series of 25th anniversary gigs this week, we thought we’d join in the celebrations at Now Playing towers by dedicating a playlist to this pioneering label (Sunday 21 September, 6-8pm). Happy birthday Warp!

It also follows recent online buzz around the label’s famous son Aphex Twin (aka Richard D James), after teaser tracklistings were posted on Twitter ahead of the official news of him releasing sixth studio album, Syro (out Monday).
Warp was founded in Sheffield in 1989 by Steve Beckett and the late Rob Mitchell, and credited with discovering experimental electronic artists.
As well as signature acts such as Aphex Twin, Square Pusher, Nightmares on Wax and Mira Calix, Warp's roster has also included Mount Kimbie, Maximo Park, Boards of Canada, Flying Lotus and the latest Eno/Hyde project.
So what tracks do you think deserve a place in our special 25th anniversary Warp playlist – and why?
- Those by artists mentioned above, or fellow labelmates Grizzly Bear, Jamie Lidell, Battles, Bibio and Kwes? The list goes on…
- Anything from their ‘Artificial Intelligence’ Series?
- What about releases from Warp’s imprint labels Lex Records, Gift Records and Arcola?
As ever, it’s up to you. But don’t forget to give us your reasons behind your track choices for a better chance of them getting picked for the show.
Send in suggestions via Twitter using #Warp6Music, post below or on our Now Playing and 6 Music facebook pages, drag tracks onto the collaborative Spotify and Rdio playlists, email nowplaying@bbc.co.uk or text 64046 during the live show.
