#6Music2015 - Help compile the ultimate 2015 playlist

Dan Cocker

Producer

Last week’s Now Playing celebrated the best music bits of the last twelve months. However, on this week’s show (4 Jan, 6-8pm) we examine our tealeaves and predict what new and hotly tipped artists and bands will be “doing a Royal Blood” in 2015.

As the fat lady sings for 2014, the glossy sheen of 2015 is poised to blind us with glittering musical delights. Unbelievably, bands like Jungle, Wolf Alice and Alvvays were relatively unknown this time last year. But which acts are going to enjoy the same success in 2015?

We need you to cast your musical net and help us create a playlist based on the hotly-tipped bands and artists you think will be making headlines this year. Did you sneak a peak at an amazing band in a dark corner of an obscure festival last year? Or perhaps you’re the kind of finger-on-the-pulse music fan who’s correctly predicted every BBC Sound Of artist since it began in 2003?

But it doesn't just have to be new acts. We know 2015 will herald new material from the likes of Bjork, Muse, Belle & Sebastian, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Marina & The Diamonds, The Decemberists, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and even Ringo Starr. Will any of these artists feature on Sunday’s playlist?

You’re in control of the music so let us know what you want us to play – including the reasons WHY - to Tom Robinson via the hashtag #6Music2015 to help create a playlist. Comment on the Now Playing Facebook page, here on the blog, email nowplaying@bbc.co.uk or drag tracks onto our Spotify and Rdio playlists.

And remember to listen into the Ultimate 2015 Playlist from 6pm on Sunday.
