Plant some trees

tell that to our local wildlife trust who ripped out loads of trees!

who gives the right for people to to fit a tracking device to any animal on land or sea.

Actually you can have too many trees: it depends where they're planted. Many other habitats - moorland, lowland heath, open chalk grassland, etc - are vital for wildlife, particularly invertebrates, and would be utterly destroyed by tree encroachment. In fact, encroachment by trees (especially birches) and bracken is one of, if not the biggest, threat to heathland in Britain.



Yes, trees are good - just not everywhere!

I have a tiny garden so I only have Bonsai trees but; 2 years ago I collected all the conkers the children have not used, put them in a plastic carrier bag, covered them with wet leafmould or compost - left them until the following Spring, then regularly checked until they started sprouting; I finished with approx. 50, I put several into large pots and when big enough, I gave them to the Environment Agency (my son is a E.A. Officer), I understand they planted a copse. This year I collected some Conkers and Acorns at Westonbirt, the day before you started filming - now I am waiting for next Spring to see what I have.

I am a treeaholic! We've got as many as our small garden will take, so I've planted 2 scot's pines in pots. In winter, I sprinkle suet amongst the needles, and the goldcrest (and starlings!) finds it- lovely to watch!

Why free trees to schools and communities we bought a love lodge house completely surrounded by trees we love it but the power line above cause an issue so Scottish power wanted all trees in way of the line to come down we had just over 80 trees we have 1 now and the house is completely open we hate it but the local council feel we have cause detrimental impact on the conservation area we are in and we have to replant within 3 months this is ridiculous and costly
