Springwatch versus The Manic Street Preachers
Eagle-eared pop fans amongst you might have noticed Chris Packham shoehorning Manic Street Preacher song titles into this year's Springwatch. He has form in this respect. Last Springwatch it was The Cure, the year before it was The Smiths.
For a bit of fun we edited all (we think) the Manics references together in the video below (though in the spirit of disclosure it seems fair to say we were beaten to it by a bunch of very keen fans of the Welsh rockers.) Great minds and all that...

In 2009 we visited a site just east of Pothmadog, probably Tan-y-bulch, where a pair of ospreys had just returned to their nest. Obviously they had been there before. It was not a new nest. This was at the end of March. It was called The Osprey Project. We couldn't find out any more about this and assumed that the nesting had failed. Do you know anything about this?

This year there is a further three young in the nest, ready to fledge very soon. There was another breeding pair of Ospreys near Welshpool in 2004, they succesfully raised one chick that year. This was the first known record of a Welsh born chick for over two hundred years.

Springwatch is surely the Epicentre of the TV year, I can't wait for the team to return later in the year for their Autumnsong.

Having compiled the Smiths lot for YouTube and being a Manics devotee, I was very vigilant, but 'Little Baby Nothing' eluded me until this compilation! Brilliant.

it seems that many of us take the same subject?
How would it be if say 10 pictures of a heron or badger or butterly or orchid could be shown towards the end of each programme?
Thanks
