Autumnwatch team Flickr favourites - Week 7
Those fantastic nature photos just keep on coming into the BBC Autumnwatch Flickr group and as usual all the Autumnwatch team have been enjoying your fabulous photography.
It's all about starlings this week as we prepare to bring you some fantastic footage of murmurations on Thursday's show. As always, some of you have astounded us with your photographs of this spectacular behaviour. This monochromatic shot portrays the spectacle with great ambience.
We loved the colourful bokeh in this shot. You can't beat autumnal colours on an autumnal subject.
This capture of a turkey tail fungus caught our attention. It's beautiful depiction of symmetry and structure in nature, reminiscent of the rings of a tree.
With an influx of birds arriving from Scandinavia and Russia to England, short-eared owls are most prominent at this time of year. This stunning capture caught our attention for its framing and use of light and shadow.
These moist mushrooms are a favourite for the depth of field that draws you into the shot. Apparently Chris finds them a moreish subject too!
Producer Holly loves long-tailed tits. The angle of the birds' tails in this shot makes it feel like an aerobatic display team preparing for lift off.
The angle of this photo really emphasises the height and reach of the trees. An excellent depiction of how any gap in the canopy is short lived.
The detail of the fine gills and of the structures in the moss of this lovely fungi macro is pretty special.
Our management menagerie adored this portrait. It's a unique angle showing off that soft fur and those incredible whiskers.
So which are your favourites? Please tell us below in the comments.
As ever please keep sharing your autumnal wildlife photography with us on the BBC Autumnwatch group where you can also get help with identifying species you've photographed or just discuss wildlife and wildlife photography with the Autumnwatch community.
Check back next week for another batch of the team's favourites or for more beauties have a look at the selection from last week.
