Springwatch 2010's last Flickr favourites
We had an incredible response from you with your spring photos for Springwatch 2010.
The Springwatch Flickr group was the fastest growing group in the world during the programme, and in total there are now more than 9,000 of you who joined to share your photos. Wow! A big, big thanks to all of you.
For the final time this year, our web researcher Sam caught up with some of the Springwatch team to find out which of your photos they liked best.
Level-headed Jo loved this cockchafer close-up. She said she really enjoyed all the insect stories on Springwatch this year.

Unsprung and Photo Club researcher James loved the colour combination in this photo and said it was a beautiful pose from a beautiful bird.

One of researcher Lucy's favourite experiences on Springwatch 2010 was filming damselflies at Wicken Fen. She chose this crisp capture as it demonstrates to well one of the key differences between damselflies and dragonflies. Damselflies hold their wings folded back behind them whereas dragonflies will rest them fanned out.

Chris Packham chose this image as his favourite for its stunning composition. He commended it for its nice plain background and beautifully framed subject.

We may have seen it on the show but the minicams team simply couldn't pick anything else. They loved this grumpy robin chick for its obviously appealing character and said the photographer must have an eye for a good subject.

Martin Hughes-Games loves badgers so this cub caught his eye. He thought it looked like a delicious humbug!
Kate Humble chose this little wren capture as she said it was simply lovely.

The Webbies chose this unique underwater shot for showing us some of the beauty in our UK waters. They'd like to see more of your underwater wildlife photos for Autumnwatch.

And finally the Springwatch team chose this incredible photo from John MacTavish as the Photo Club 2010 favourite. The vivid colours and capture of movement are really impressive and all the presenters said they would have loved to have taken this photo.

Jeremy posted that they were going to close at midnight tonight, and then they closed straight away. I know people have parties planned, and people want to say good bye to each other until Autumnwatch. Please could you open the boards again until midnight, as previously planned?
Stunning photos, too!
