He’s well known on the circuit having toured with likes of Pacific Northwest artists Jesse Sykes, David Bazan and 6 favourite Damien Jurado. He also apparently wrote an essay about Jurado's latest concept album Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son. Father John’s debut album Fear Fun was released in 2012, and it’s a bit of a mystery about what he’s been up to since. But hopefully this free download is the start of a whole new batch of material. ‘Trouble’ is a Cat Stevens cover, the original song used in Hal Ashby’s film Harold & Maude from 1971. And strange that ol’ Father would chose to cover this as it features on the soundtrack to the new documentary Once I Was: The Hal Ashby Story.
