Memory Tapes is the part of the show where you get to share your lovely mixtapes, whether they be made for you, by you or a tracklist that reminds you of that special someone. Today's is the latter and is all about listener Julia Crawford's love for her baby sister. Ahhh! Here she is to tell all:
"I have put this mix together in honour of my sister, Catherine. As the older sibling, I didn't think it was particularly cool to hang out with my younger sister when we were teenagers, but as we've grown older we have become great friends as well as sisters and a lot of this has been through shared music experiences together. We've been to gigs (Prince and the Rolling Stones both highlights), been regular dancing buddies when clubbing, been to festivals together (Leeds, Glastonbury). I'd like to think that we have influenced each other's music collection over the years, but if I am really honest with myself, she has probably had way more influence on me than vice versa. There are so many happy memories - too many to mention - so hopefully I can share some of them through the tracks below.
Also, we are both North-easterners originally, so there is some local influence in there!
