Memory Tapes: The ‘Best Of’ Around The World Mixtape

It's Friday so that means it’s time where we get one of you, the humble listeners, to send in some of your stories and memories and the songs that sound-tracked said event/s. Today's tape is from jetsetter Lucy Baker from Bourne, Lincolnshire and she and her collective regularly made and swapped tapes. Were they the digital kind, or were they they physical kind? I’ll guess we’ll never know, but it was obviously a great way to bond with people.

“Here's my memory tape. I've been living in New Zealand for three years now and am leaving next week to head back to the UK **she’s now back in the UK**. Since I've been here a group of four of us (an Australian, a Kiwi, a Frenchwoman and myself (English)) have been swapping mixes and music. The mixtape is a ‘best of’ selection of the mixtapes I’ve received, and I think it nicely reflects their cosmopolitan backgrounds. I've had an amazing 3 years out here and the music has been a really good way of getting to know people and to share experiences. I've introduced my friends to Lauren's show and have listened regularly online. I'm looking forward to listening when I'm back in the UK and reminding myself that it's a morning show!
