On the playlist: Star One - Never Give Up (featuring Doctor)

Star.One are the latest BBC Introducing act to be selected for our sought after weekly spot on the Radio 1 playlist. Their track “Never Give Up” (which you can listen to in full below) will receive plays from Fearne, Greg and Scott. Read on to find out more about this talented duo and let us know what you think.

Hometown: Tunbridge Wells.

Style: Star.One are brothers Phaze and Blacksta whose first track was a remix of the Rastamouse them tune that got over 200,000 views on YouTube. This track features the vocals of grime/dubstep/reggae artist Doctor and is a must listen for fans of Chase & Status and Shown N Prove.

You Need To Know: Star One first joined the Uploader three years ago and were supported by BBC Introducing in Kent. This saw them go on to be played across 1Xtra from MistaJam to Cameo to Trevor Nelson and host their own show as part of Radio 1’s Dance Radio ahead of Ibiza this summer.
