Hometown: East London

Style: The Skints describe themselves as reggae and dub upstarts. There's plenty of punk and ska in the mix too as is shown by Up Against The Wall Riddim, a rampaging tune which flips and switches comfortably between engaging rhythms and vocalists.

Did you know? The band are pretty much always on tour. Well maybe they do take the odd break, but not many. They've supported Gym Class Heroes, Reel Big Fish, You Me at Six, Gogol Bordello and even found time to play for us at Hackney Weekend in June.

Supported by: Mike Davies from the Radio 1 Punk Show is a big fan of the band and had them in for a session at the start of 2012.

Where can I find out more? Head to their website for the latest news and a selection of amusing photos. The Skints head out on their own headline tour this October in support of their new album, Part & Parcel.
